Service
Backend Systems & APIs
The backend underneath the product — clean APIs, databases, queues, and workers built to stay reliable and maintainable as you grow.
- NestJS
- PostgreSQL
- Queues
- APIs
The problem
Automation and AI features still need a solid backend underneath: somewhere to store data, run background work, authenticate users, and expose clean APIs.
Backends that were rushed accumulate technical debt fast — they get slow to change and risky to deploy, and every new feature costs more than the last.
What's included
- API design and implementation with NestJS (or the right tool for the job)
- Database design and data workflows with PostgreSQL and others
- Background jobs, queues, and workers for longer-running work
- Authentication and clean service boundaries
- Deployment-ready, documented, and maintainable code
How it works
- 01
Understand the domain
We map the data and the operations the system needs to support.
- 02
Design clean boundaries
Clear service layers and APIs so the system stays maintainable as it grows.
- 03
Build and harden
Implement with reliability in mind — error handling, background processing, and checks where they matter.
- 04
Deploy and document
Ship it deployment-ready and documented so your team can build on it.
Questions
- Do you join existing codebases or only greenfield?
- Both. A lot of my work is improving established systems — strengthening structure and data workflows without rewriting everything from scratch.
- What stack do you use?
- NestJS and TypeScript with PostgreSQL are my default, with MongoDB, queues, and Python where they fit. I match the stack to the problem and your team.
- Can you work within our team?
- Yes — I'm used to contributing inside an established team and codebase, following existing patterns and keeping production stable.
